FF Mastermind Titans correspondent Terry McCormick for the City Paper reports free-agent CB Donald Mitchell left the Tennessee Titans Thursday for a three-year contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Mitchell, who played a vital role as the team's nickel back and on special teams this past season, gets a package worth about $2.6 million total and one that includes several incentives. The Cowboys Web site reported that Mitchell would receive a $675,000 signing bonus. "There were a handful of teams we talked to and one or two offers were higher than Dallas, but Donald was very happy with the Cowboys," Woy said. The Titans had a chance to match the offer by the Cowboys, but Mitchell decided to cast his lot in Dallas. "We talked with the Titans, but ultimately at the end of the day, Donald felt like his best situation was in Dallas," Woy said.

One more DB that slipped away. I guess on the upside Ken Irvin is either gonna sign with the Vikes or Lions.
