Dome-adjacent parcel for sale again - Lost intrest from Wilf?

Dome-adjacent parcel for sale

The owner of 1010 Metrodome Square, located at 1010 7th St. S. in downtown Minneapolis, said that Vikings owner Zygi Wilf expressed interest in the property about a year ago, but nothing came of the talks.

With Wilf canceling his offer on the Star Tribune property last year & not making an offer on this one, one has to wonder if he is re-thinking his options as to where he will build a new stadium..........if the state ever approves it.

exactly

we've all been saying its not a good place for a stadium anyways.

The Star Tribune is going to be attempting to sell their property again supposedly.. idk if that was mentioned in that article since i didnt read it
;D read enough about it earlier today.

hopefully we get more information soon...
a deal needs to get done, but theres another problem that might slow us down.. if hopeful-presidential candidate John McCain (likely) wins the republican nod... a lot of people think our governor, Tim Pawlenty, is one of the top choices to get the nod to be his running mate, which running for the White House might distract from the Vikings a little bit imo
;D
:P

Yep a deal needs to get done. But I fear every time one of our players gets arrested, we lose votes.

I would like to see the Stadium relocated farther out in the burbs.

Probably will be -- the "burbs" of somewhere other than the Twin Cities.

agreed
which sucks, because the Vikings really do have a lot of class-act players on this team that do a lot for the community

Hey VK,

The two of us should start to lobby to build it in Mankato. The home games would be much closer for both of us and the team wouldn't have to drive so far for training camp so no Krob speeding -to-get-back-to-town issues.

maybe between Mankato and Eagle lake on Hwy 14. ;D
