How are we still 28th in the league on D? We had four picks and 1 TD against the G men.

Because your defensive rankings there just judged by yards in the season and only yards we are much better on defense now then we were at the start of the season so those marks don't mean much to me.

Defensive stats dont matter in yards, they matter in points allowed, yards does not account for a defenses ability to get big plays when it matters ... though the two do often go hand in hand. Also, the Packers offensive and defensive stats are all inflated by one big game against the Saints where they ran up the score ... sure we played the same team and did well also, but we also did not run up the score the whole game and the Saints actually attempted to play ... also, they have two games against the Bears left where a good defense will hurt their offensive numbers ... overall, I think their offense has be a little smoother and is a touch better while their defense is pretty even with ours ... we have gotten torched in a few games which really hurts those numbers ... I mean the Bengals clearly were A+ against us and only C- at best against the Pack ... I dont think anyone really thinks their defense is the 10th best in the league ... though Al Harris has been a beast this season.

I either read or heard on the NFL channel that the Vikes defense ranked 6th in defense last week. But through nine games it didn't boost our overall ratings that much.
