Chilly says that TJack is further along than McNabb was...we keep TJack and he is better than a declining McNabb next season!

So is Leftwich still even considered a possibility with Holcomb signing? Lets face it Bolinger should be taking orders at the local Burger King and Thigpen will be on the practice squad. Holcomb is probably just a one and done. I guess having 2 many QB's is a good thing considering where we were at.

    Jaguars | Garrard to start

Chris Mortensen, of ESPN, reports Jacksonville Jaguars QB David Garrard will start for the team.

Jaguars | Leftwich likely to be traded or released
    Fri, 31 Aug 2007 13:37:32 -0700

Chris Mortensen, of ESPN, reports the Jacksonville Jaguars will likely either trade or release QB Byron Leftwich.

Leftwich would probably be an upgrade...BUT he would probably want to start...and I think that Chilly has gone all in with TJack...do or die.
If TJack is ever to develop, then Holcomb is probably the best option at backup QB...so that TJack isn't looking over his shoulder every day.
I can agree with that but I also see Leftwich as the type of player that is good now but could be a stud if Chilly is the QB developer like he says that he is.

No way is Leftwich remotely an option as slow as he and hisreleasse is no way do I think Childress would want him in a west coast offense.

    ???
Why is this thread even ongoing after we signed Holcomb already?

    Boggles the mind.

And don't have the faintest idea of what it takes to be a QB in a WCO.
Its even been stated in here a few times about his slow release/long windup.
Heck by the time he even got the ball up to his head B-wade would be covered again.

Crap, don't people pay attention on here or are they just to ignorant/resistant to understanding basic football concepts.

    No way.

First of all, to bring in another guy to backup Tarvaris that DOES NOT know the system and didn't spend the preseason with the Vikes would be death if TJ goes down. Second, have you seen Leftwich's release? Kurt Warner he's not. His delivery is sooooo long and would be death in a west coast system.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him land in Atlanta as an insurance policy after they lost Shockley and Fidokiller for the year.
