Re: Does the draft help McKinnie?
I'd have to say it helped him with no obvious move made to specifically address the LT position. The only thing would be if OT Drew Radovich
was a genuine diamond in the rough who could maybe move in a RT and then let a vet from that side move over to LT but that's a definite longshot.
I just hope we have some sort of plan B ready should the tub-o-lard get hit with a suspension albeit a 4 game one.Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Our FO will wait for the court date in June to proceed with their judgement. I believe it will be reduced in court, or even dismissed, and the league may not step in at all."All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

Can't remember who or why but I am sure (they are on here) they will enlighten me again.

Re: Does the draft help McKinnie?
I don't think you can say he wasn't helped by the draft.
If the Vikings had picked up a left tackle that could have come in and played, then they would have more leverage to cut the guy if/when he is found or pleads guilty to something.
Now they have less to work with, so the tolerance for any 'antics' by McKinnie has to go up, even if only by a small amount.
I've still heard mostly that people think it's not a big deal.
I think it was reported at one point that it was way overblown.
Could be, and I hope it is.
But based on the facts I've heard, I think the Vikes and especially McKinnie should be worried. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

At nearly 7 million a year, he's got some money to throw that way.
First week of June we'll find out, right?
Right now, it could really go either way.
If he gets found guilty of that felony, he'll likely end up with a sentence like Vicks.
If he can get most of those charges to, "go away." we might be able to keep him around.
Basically, I don't think there is much, if any trade value left with this hanging over his head.
If he beats it, we might be able to get a first or 2nd rounder for him next year...and keep him around this year for continuity.
I was thinking...that if the charges are filed by the local gov, that they can't just be dropped by the plaintiff.
Since he was still throwing a stink when the cops arrived, they likely filed the charges themselves.

Re: Does the draft help McKinnie?
I don't think any of us guys are too worried about that video.
Nearly all of us like to chase a little tail from time to time...or, all the time

Its the dumb shit he does later that worries us.Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Re: Does the draft help McKinnie?
Well if we trade him, then they must have faith in Chase Johnson.
I say no.
I still think we should have taken Geoff Schwartz or Franklin Dunbar in the sixth or Lance Leggett instead of Jaymar.
He probably won't make the team.
