Do you trust him?

Now that we have brought in Bollinger and all but dumped the other 2 backup QB's, would you really feel comfortable with him under center in January if Johnson goes down and we are in the playoffs?


I am glad they are getting rid of those 2 guys, but the one thing our team has done right in the past few decades is always have a competent backup QB in place. I think our backup QB depth, even with Bollinger is the the worst it has been as long as I can remember. But then again as I look at what has been available this year I don't see any backups that were a can't miss,especially with what they are going to pay but it still has me concerned.

At any rate I would not trust him. Maybe as a #3 but not a #2.

On a relative basis compared to McMahon and O'Sullivan he is an HOFer.
Most teams don't trust their backups and hope it's a non-issue.

In a perfect world all back up QB's would just as talented as the starting QB.However this isnt a perfect world and lots of teams have questionable depth at QB.Us however, have pretty solid depth in that area.The Jets where terrible last year, but Bollinger still put up 7 td's and 6 int's in 9 games.Not that shabby, considering McMahon looked like a chicken with his head cut off in Philly last year.(Philly had a much more talented roster then NY) So do I trust him?No.Do I think hes better then McMahon?Yes.I dont trust ANY back up QB my friend.

It is tough to say.
He had a pretty dismal showing last year.. but then again he was with a dismal team, and was sacked an average of three times a game every game that he played.
Who knows, with a decent line he may do OK.


The tough part is bringing him at #2 because he has not worked with our guys at all, and won't get a decent chance to now that preseason is over.
But I guess anything was better than McMahon or JTO.

I haven't seen him play so I can not honestly say one way or the other but I do feel he has to be better then the other two #2 quarterbacks that we did have

I feel better about Bollinger being under center than I do O'Sullivan or McMahon, and that's all that I'm concerned about!

one big game, but the problem is, his offense was ranked 9th in the big ten, so he probably didnt show up anywhere near as good as that one day for any other game of the season

How can you not trust a guy from North Dakota? He can milk yer cow, buck some hay, and hit a runnin' coyote at 70 yards. Then he'll jump in and throw a couple of touchdowns! Outside of that he sucks.
