Do you think Sharper will make the Hall of Fame?
I want to see what some people have to say here.
Do you think when Sharper decides to hang it up, will he be in consideration for the Hall of Fame?
I think he will probably at least make the first cut of players.
He's had more interceptions than anyone since he's came into the league, and was a big part of Green Bays success in the late 90's/00's.
In 10 years he's piled up 53 interceptions, or 5.3 per year.
To put that in perspective, in 16 years, Paul Krause piled up 81 interceptions, or 5.06 per season, actually less than Sharper.
He's a smart player, and a decent tackler too.
I think he wont get in his first year, but it won't be long after.
I think if there's anyone who will be a potential HOFer who's played for the vikings in the past 5 years, aside from moss, it would be Sharper.
If your interested, here's Krause's NFL.com page, and it even has a 5 min video about him to check out on the right.

I think he will make it someday, but not on his first or even maybe his second time...But I do believe he has earned a
spot in the hall of fame....
And his third chance will be the one to get him in..

Yes he is reliable at times as the last line of defense to take down someone, i guess i can give him "decent tackler", but he's not a good, jarring tackler.
At times he seems afraid to lay the wood.
but yes, he's a magnificent ballhawk, and a very smart player.
I can easily see him being considered for it, making it in though is a whole other story

Re: Do you think Sharper will make the Hall of Fame?
Problem for me is that I won't get excited if he does as he will probably go in as a Packer.
Very hard for me to like guys on the team that came from PUKER land no matter how good there are or what they do for the team.
:'(Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

He didn't exactly leave them on good terms.
I think if he DOES go in, it would be for his accomplishments as a Packer (unless of course we win the SB this year
), but he will still go in as a Viking.

Marr... players in the nfl who make the HOF, don't go in with a certain team like they do in other sports.
They make the HOF as a player, and list all the teams they've played for, not just one specific team.
meaning if he were to make it, it would be Darren Sharper, HOF Safety, who played for the Packers and Vikings, not Packer Safety Darren Sharper.
Get my drift?

He's going end up playing a lot of years with the Vikings, and he left the Packers basically because the Packers didn't have any faith left in him.
I think the Vikings could solve the whole problem by just winning the SB.
;D
That way we know who he'd retire with.

But you are right.
I looked up Gary ZImmerman's bio and it lists both the Vikings and the Broncos.
Thanks for the info!
