Do People At Your Employer Make You Angry When Talking Football?
I was talking to a fella I work with today , and his "genius plan" to fix the Vikings was as follows we trade
Adrian Peterson , and a draft pick
to
The Cowboys for ...
Brady James , and Terrell Owens
I tried several times to explain to him that this was one of the most ridiculous things I had ever heard , but he was persistant enough to make me angry with his nonsense ha , anyone got stories like this?

haha... I work with all women and none of them are football fans.
My boss always asks me when she knows the Vikings lose "how are you handeling the loss?"
They know I'm cranky on Mondays after a loss.
Re: Do People At Your Employer Make You Angry When Talking Football?
My cousin (A diehard steeler fan) and I had an argument over Najeh Davenport and Medwelde Moore, before the steelers signed Moore. I told him that the steelers should sign Medwelde, seeing as they only really had Parker and that useless dookie Davenport. He went on a rant about how Davenport was the perfect 2nd runningback for steel town (I guess after Jerome they prefer 300lb tailbacks) and they were set.
...As we all know they went on to sign him and my cousin is now a MM fan. Needless to say I get to make fun of him every time I get to see him, by praising the mighty Najeh Davenport.

Same situation here. Bunch of women who could care less. Sometimes they pretend to care but only when they happen to see the final score.

I like that idea, the Hershel Walker trade was awesome
Re: Do People At Your Employer Make You Angry When Talking Football?
Yeah very similar to the Walker trade , lets do it , someone get Chilly on the tellley , hastefully.
Re: Do People At Your Employer Make You Angry When Talking Football?
People at my work don't follow football like I do and are fairweather as they come. I get the typical "Vikings suck" jokes every week they lose which I usually don't have a sense of humor about until Tuesday or Wednesday. And I get the standard "they're gonna collapse" every time they win. Then everyone at work amazingly dug out Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper jerseys the week before the Eagles game, then went back to not caring on Monday morning.
I wish I worked with people that cared as much as I do, but maybe they have lives
???
Re: Do People At Your Employer Make You Angry When Talking Football?
My crowd aren't too bad as many here don't follow the NFL - only what they might catch in the press when something big is going.
They do say that they know when it's Friday without looking at the calendar as that's dress down day in the office and so a purple and gold top of some sort appears that day
;D I do usually get asked if I'm going to US for a football game during the upcoming season and then have give a rundown of what happened and show any pics as well.
Generally the day after gameday is quiet for me in the office whether we win or lose.
Re: Do People At Your Employer Make You Angry When Talking Football?
after the vikings lost in chicago i missed work on monday and came in on tuesday and 48-41 was written on the break table about 25 times. but i think that has more to with them being raiders fans and having to hear my shit. it was all in good fun.
