    Dissecting Childress

    Dissecting The Childress Firestorm

"As a head coach in the NFL, you need to A.) Win football games and B.) Do everything you can to make the fans love you. Do everything you can to create an “us” atmosphere.

So far, Childress hasn’t done enough of A, and he’s done absolutely none of B."

It seems like this would be posted already but I can't find it. I thought it was a good well balanced article that describes the issue well from multiple angles.

Very good article. I like the following suggestion/scenario a lot...

    2. Accept the fact that Childress isn’t going anywhere for at least the next few games and cheer for your football team. Turn the Metrodome into a madhouse for the visiting team, rather than a circus for the home team, and hope that the 2008 Vikings can turn into the 2000 Ravens.

That was one of my favorite lines too. .. give the guys on the field a true homefield advantage. The Wilfs know what the fans' opinions are. What they don't know is how will the fans respond at the games to show that they support the players and team even if they hate what the head coach is doing?...

Well, winning creates "chemistry" (not the other way around). When a team wins, everyone talks about their "great chemistry", which is just a byproduct of winning. As soon as they lose, they lose the "chemistry".

Yes chemistry is term that doesn't usually describe a team unless it is winning. Is there something in this article about chemistry..? I can't find it.
