Thread: Did you see the hit Russell put on Larry Ned

Lary ned was running out of bounds in last nights scrimmage and Brian Russell drilled him (nasty hit), it was kind of a cheap shot and Adam Haayer came over and got in Russell's face. Ned was OK but I bet he doesn't want to take many hits like that, especially from his own teammates! :drunken:

Yeah i wasnt there but heard about it, he will put a licking on u, it kinda sucks if if was cheap. He needs to be smart about when he hits, the thing is with Russell is hes very smart i've seen him decide not to make the hit because it was to late and he never leads with his helmet. I'm sure he couldn't stand it anymore and he had to get it out of his system as long as he doesn't do it on Bennett. I'm sure he got a pep talk for it if it was that bad of a cheap shot.

You could tell Ned was going out of bounds and Russell still hit him, other team great no problem but your own teammate? He flattened him, I was suprised that Ned wasn't hurt and it wasn't a clothesline as one reporter said, it was a hit on the side of the body up towards Ned's shoulder.

Sounds like he's gettin' ready for the season!! I want to see that all year from him!! How about a blindsided safety blitz on Favre!! I can see it now!!

I think russell is becoming more known for his hit. He had some mean hits against tight ends and the two that come to mind immediately is when he drilled shannon sharpe in that denver game and Itula Mili against the hawks in another game this past year.

Hopefully he wont be known for a guy that many think he got lucky on his picks and having many of them but having nasty hits on receiver, rbs' te,etc. Heres to anothe productive non one year wonder for russell! :cheers: :drunken:
