Did Any of You Guys See Tarvaris Jackson on NFL Network last night????

For those who have DirecTV, last night Tarvaris was on Vikings Cam on the NFL Network. Basically him and Rich Eisen talked about how the flow of the voulntary workouts and OTA's were going, and who's stood out thus far, They also talked about the Antoine Winfield situation, and if Tarvaris believes Winfield has confidence in him. He also said even though Antoine isnt at voluntary workouts he knows Toine comes to play on Sunday's and he says he(Winfield)probably is one of the best if not the best on the team, they also talked about how he feels now that he has a little bit of experience under his belt. He basically said he feels good and his teammates knows how he plays now now that theyve seen his playin style in 2 games. The last thing they basically talked about was how Tarvaris invites the team over his house down in Alabama and he has a barbecue for them. He said he makes the best barbecue and the guy he got the recipe from was a guy also name Tarvaris.

It should be placed on NFL.com sometime today or tomorrow, cause they usually have all the interviews or things they cover during the show on there

"SSSMMMOOTTT" & "Toine" will be the best CB combo in the NFL next year TRUST ME!!!

Q: At your age, can you handle a full season?
A: I m 37, number one. I took my family to Perkins a couple of days ago, and they didn t hand me a senior citizens discount card, so I feel pretty good.

TJ speaks with a classic southern mush mouth.
It is hard to understand him at times.

I wish I played for the Vikes.
Not for the money just for the BBQ.
Its good to see the love boats are being replaced with something more subtle.

So Tarvaris has a secret recipe eh?
I might have to go undercover and investigate.

I saw it and had an overall favorable impression of Tarvaris. He's a bit shy/reserved and has the previous mentioned southern accent.
He didn't exude confidence or cockiness but he seemed comfortable.

I was pissed when Eisen tried to bait him by stating Winfield wasn't happy with the offense. Tarvaris responded in a way that makes me think the offense isn't Winfields issue.

There is one quote by Winfield where he said nothing was going to change. I believe he meant, nothing was going to change in the defensive scheme and he would be fine working out on his own.

I think that was taken out of context and misquoted.

And now Eisen reports it as fact!

After the T-Jack interview Fossel said he felt T-Jack would be successful.

And Woodson thought the defense would be successful if they get some pass rushing this year.

A relatively optomistic look at the Vikings on NFLN! What gives?

    Great recap.

I saw it today and yeah he is a little difficult to understand but overall I got what he was generally saying.T-Jack seems very optomistic about the new pieces in the offense and trying to bond with your new targets over Bar-B-Q is a helluva a way to get to know your new recievers.

I was waiting for him to say Bubba Gump Shremp. ;D

Personally I could care less if this norwegian has a hard time understanding him as long as his teammates understand him and he understands his job description.
