    Good. Put Griffin on notice.
What? Griffin was a stud the past 2 games.
In my world, Henderson is a stud. Griffin isn't there yet.
    LOL.
I actually like how Griffin has been playing, but it is always good to have competition.
I like Whitaker, and I am glad he is back on the squad.
I followed him pretty closely when he was in the NFLE (where he led in both INTs and defensive TDs in 2006).
He had a rough season last year with the Vikings, but I think he has a lot of potential.

Interesting note about Whitaker though - Guess who his roommate was at V-Tech?

Re: Detmer released and CB Ronyell Whitaker re-signed

Whitaker is re-signed for special teams duty in all likelyhood.
He's too slow to be a corner, truthfully.Gets burned too often for the big play. But he's done ok at special teams. And our special teams still need help!
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

Re: Detmer released and CB Ronyell Whitaker re-signed

    WHAT?!?!?!?!
    Whitaker is BACK?!?!?!?!?!?
What happened, did the water boy get injured?
I was never that excited about getting Detmer (Who was...other than Detmer), but I was glad that we were at least able to shed Whitaker.
That guy is blown coverage waiting to happen.

Now Childress goes and resigns him.....

Whitaker puts the "special" in "Special teams".

On a side note, does anyone know if Childress dropped the Green Bay Defense from his fantasy League team yet, or is he planning to sit Peterson in the 2nd half again to salvage the points?

I'm carrying over my intense dislike of his play from last season.

last time i saw him play he was the blitzer.. i believe they have him in special packages to rest some1 and he's adding into the qb rush. i hope at least as i could run faster then he can.

For serving as emergency insurance for the past 96 hours, Detmer will receive $42,352.94 — 1/17th of the 10-year veteran’s minimum salary.
Not a bad chunk of change for 4 days of practice.

Quarterback Koy Detmer turned out to be an expensive insurance policy for the Vikings last week....
