    Yeah, that's about it.

I personally don't want Favre or Tarvaris. Do I have a third option ?

We could always start a thread that Farve is going to Philly, McNabb is going to play for the Vikes, and TJ is getting traded to Tampa.

    I mean just for fun

No. So personally you might have to ride this one out.

at the same time the comment "All I can do is take a look at the waivers every day and see if there's somebody that's better than somebody on the roster" seems like a read between the lines type of statement..i certainly believe that if favre somehow snakes his way into being simply released, he will be a viking, but the chances of him angering them enough to release him are slim
People who see life as anything more than pure entertainment are missing the point.

childress is saying the right things to keep jackson thinking positive.

I really have no idea what would happen if favre is released.
I mean he is 38, and all this drama around this I think is clouding his status just a bit.

I agree that Childress is saying what he has to right now.
He can't very well say, "Oh HELL yeah!!!
If Favre wants to play here, we'll send ole whats-his-name packin' in a heartbeat!!!!"...even if it might be true.
If Favre doesn't wind up here, he's ruined Jackson.
Much like Green Bay will ruin Rodgers if they don't resolve the Favre issue ASAP.

Personally, I'd LOVE to see him here.
The QB question would immediately go away, the Offense would be fired up, and we'd have about as complete a team as you can get.
Sorry Jackson fans, but Tarvaris doesn't carry that kind of clout.

I think Ted Thompson is scrambling to cover his butt by feeding the media BS to try and paint the Packers as victims in all of this when the TRUTH is that they all but pushed Favre out the door, and now that he wants to come back, they're trying to bury him under a pile of BS to diffuse negative fan reaction.
I've never thought Green Bay was a classless organization, but Ted Thompson is sure doing his best to alter my perception.
