David Garrard? The next in the QB carousel?
PFT reporting a new team showed interest after the weekend (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...hurry-to-sign/)...
I'm not saying I am in favor or opposed to this... My question is more of a "does anyone else think our front office is starting to look elsewhere already"?
I mean, Sunday hurt, but really, do we think one game is enough to pull the plug on the experiment? Thoughts?

Garrard would be 120x better than McNabb, but he wouldn't be ready until week 7 or 8... so it wouldn't really matter. Too bad he was cut so late, would have been perfect for our offense.
If Ponder is the so-called 'furture,' he should be out there ASAP.

Please God no! He couldn't even beat out Luke McCown in a QB competition.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Good god no.

No, the carousel needs to be done. If McNabb can't do the job, give it to Webb or Ponder for good.
Skol Vikings! Go Cubs!

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Why not Webb? To me he seems just as promising as Ponder does. Personally I would just be happy with an open competition where they both have the same opportunities with no agenda and let the best man win.

Not saying that I don't agree with a QB competition. But Joe Webb would have no chance. If he did have a chance, then we need to re-evaluate QBs in the next draft. He just isn't starter material. If Ponder isn't any better than Webb after next season, we need to clean house and try for another franchise QB.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Why isn't he starter material? I was at training camp and watched the three and have seen quite a few guys at camp over the years and he seems to have a pretty rare arm and seems to always move the ball when he is on the field. I will admit I cannot see everything that he does because I am not at meetings etc but by god I would be willing to bet a case of beer that he would be a far better QB than TJ after 5 years if he was given the same chance.
