Thread: Daunte needs to sit for a while

Who gives a sh#*t about 2000! You ever hear of the
saying "what have you done for me lately" ? Daunte has gotten worse
each season. By the end of this season, he'll end up with about
4 games that he single handedly lost for us and about 4 more where
he could have won for us if he could have executed.

You don't give up. At this point you're like Thomas Hearns
on the floor with your eyes rolled back in your head and you still want to fight. Daunte has been Brilliant 3 out of 4 losses? Must be
reading yardage stats again. We were playing catch up 5 minutes into each of the games. Nothing but passing for 3&1/2 quarters. A lot of 4th qtr yards when defenses were playing back and in the prevent D.
Garbage yards. If it weren't for our D, we'd have another three losses this season. Chicago game. Should have been over by halftime.
Daunte single handedly ended three red zone posessions in the first half and then in the 4th qtr, fumbled to make the game a nail biter.
The Denver game. The game clock was on our side. Look at the second
half of the game. Daunte was his old self. Another quarter and we loose the game. It is the second half of the Dever game where the whole season changed. Without all the take aways we had in the first 6 games, we litteraly could be sitting here with 1 win this season.
The boy just doesn't have what it takes. Even when our D lead the
league in takeaways(1st 6 games), we were bairly winning the games.
Actually I'm wrong...Gus put a spankin on Frisco and he handled Atlants pretty well. Lets keep track the rest of the games, how many posessions we come up pointless because DC cannot execute.

I agree with you on one point which I stated above four days ago. DC
is physically gifted. But open your eyes...Its not what we need
to win. He needs to be smarter than a 16 year old kid. The following QB's werent 1/3 as gifted(physically) as Daunte, but Daunte cant hold their jockstraps as a pro....Montana......Bradshaw
....Elway.....Griese.....Theismann... Do I need to keep going?

It's what Daunte doesn't do when the money is on the line.
