I've always felt confident about Daunte. He is, and has been, without a doubt, the face of the Minnesota Vikings franchise. Big things are coming this year...

I think Daunte could have a few set backs this year in the area of passing stats because of the O-line.
I don't want people saying that Daunte sucks when this happens. Duante had a great season last year and it wasn't a fluke.
I think he wont reach his full potential until we have a good running game. I don't think we will as long as Tice and co. call the shots. Lucky enough for us him not reaching his full potential is still better then 90% of the QB's out there.
Can you imagine what he'll be like when he reaches his full potential :grin:Quote:
Last year, Culpepper ran up the fourth-best passer rating in NFL history (110.9), the fifth-most passing yards (4,717) and tied for the fifth-most passing touchdowns (39). He set an NFL record for most combined passing and rushing yards in a season, with 5,123.
I know, for all you Daunte doubters, until he wins the SuperBowl or brings the team back in the last 2 minutes 5 weeks in a row we can't call him a great qb. I still say I would take him over anyone else in the league right now. And yes, I have every confidence that when the game is on the line and we need Daunte to deliver that he will deliver. But don't expect him to win playoff games on his own, he needs a supporting cast to do their job (mostly the defense and a fair running game would be nice).
I've been defending Daunte for years, even through the fumbling, because I knew that was something that could be corrected. He's better than 90% of the QBs out there and still has more potential than 90% of the QBs out there.
Pep is the best, I wouldn't trade him for anyone. That was a good article. NFL MVP!!!
Bad A$$, love em.
i read it before, pepp is gonna be a great man in nfl history.
