Re: D. Smith likely to play
We need him on the field Monday, and possible throughout the playoffs.
We do not need him after this season though, IMHO.
He has proven that he will let the team down when we are counting on him.Zeus wrote:
When are you going to realize that picking out the 20 bad throws this year and ignoring the 300 good ones does not make your point?

Re: D. Smith likely to play
Haha, I find it funny he gets caught smoking pot and it's the end of the world lets get rid of him.
But players like Lance Briggs who crash their cars drunk and endanger people's lives people don't seem to care about as much.

We don't get it both ways, either he's unreliable and we don't like what he did, or he's fine.
You can't justify him playing the rest of the year if you don't think he should play for us next year.

We can decide to bring in a decent free agent to replace him after the season.
That person will then get a chance to learn the system and all that.
That's the way the system works.
There just aren't as many good players available right now. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]
