Anywho, I hope that meeting between Daunte and Childress goes well. I'm looking forward to those guys working together. I think it could be a healthy marriage.
Just as long as we don't get any Mike Ditka/Ricky Williams style magazine covers out of this.

Re: Culpepper to meet with Childress

After I heard this collaboration between Childress and Culpepper, I think that Childress will push for Pep to be his opening day starter:

    Ah, push it
    Ah, push it

    Culpepper, pepper
    pepper, pepper
    Culpepper, pepper
    pepper, pepper

    Roll up on this!

    Ow! Vikes fans!
    Chill and Pepper's here!

    [Now wait a minute, y'all
    This offense ain't for everybody
    Only the talented people
So all you fly players, get on out there and score
    Score, I said!]

Chill and Pepper's here, and we're in effect
Want you to push it, Pep
rehabin' by day then at night working up a sweat
C'mon Pep, let's go show the guys that we know
How to become number one in the NFL show
    Now push it

Ah, push it - push it good
Ah, push it - push it real good
Ah, push it - push it good
Ah, push it - p-push it real good

    Hey! Daunte!
    Push it good!

    Culpepper, pepper
    pepper, pepper
    Culpepper, pepper
    pepper, pepper

    Yo, yo, yo, yo, quarterback
Yeah, you come here, throw me a pass
Better make it tight or else I'ma kick your A$$
Can't you hear the crowd is pumpin' hard so just make it good
    Now push it

    Push it good
    P-push it real good

    Ah, push it
    Roll up on this!

Pep, you really got it going
You got the defense so they don't know what they're doing

    Ah, push it

Re: Culpepper to meet with Childress

"As I understand it, athletes who are in the position to be extraordinarily committed to rehab, they can go back to competitive play about 10-12 months after the surgery in a best case scenario. A great part of being fully recovered is having the psychological comfort that you can make all those cuts you want to make down the field, run into traffic, or even take a hit with out re-injuring yourself. Gaining that bit of mental fitness takes more time that many would think. Sports medicine common sense estimates that it takes about twice as long to be mentally rehabed as it does to be physically rehabed. It could be 1-2 years before DC feels 100%, that is, that he can do everything on the field that he wants and needs to do."-ColoradoVike

I agree with ya 100%. When I hyper-extended and fracted my fibula and growth plate in my right knee, I was very hesitant to play football again. Given my rehab wasnt nearly as good as Daunte's or as fierce, but Mentally when I would take the field, I was scared. I remeber my doctor sayin, you break this again, you could never walk again. So that thought was always on my mind. Even now I'm still hesitant just to play a scrimage game of tackle. Hopefully Daunte can over come that mental hurdle ALOT better then I have.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

West Coast fans: Running back Mewelde Moore, one of a handful of Vikings players who attended Friday's press conference, said he's looking forward to playing in Childress' offense.

"I'm a do-it-all back," he said. "I can pound it, run with finesse, run with strength and run and make guys miss. The West Coast offense gives you the opportunity to do all those things just because there are times when you're going to be able to do the power thing and there are times when you're going to be able to go out there and play wide receiver. I'm real excited because it's the type of style I've played before."[/i]

I bet that Melwede is happy, he is out of Tice's dog house and he might be able to stay on the field more.
What we've got here is failure to communicate.
