Ray Lewis did not get hurt.Every year a player is on the cover, except for Ray Lewis, has had a terrible year the year after. Eddie George, Culpepper in 02, Marshall Faulk, Mike Vick...all had terrible seasons. I say let McNabb be on it and suck it up this year.
We should be proud that Moss was on the NFL2K series for 3 straight years.

Well mcnabb did lead the eagles to the superbowl unlike manning who was doused yet again by the pats in the division playoff game. Its who got the farthest and i guess madden didnt want to use brady for some reason.manning should be on the cover this year.
but the colts don't have as big a market as the eagles do though...popularity wins the cover.
i think they should start putting special teamers on there instead--haha.
cover of madden 2007 will be Roanell Smith.Hupo oe ke kau ana i ka waiupa a ma kou pa o & Hupo na Po o waiupa a

Re: Culpepper: Madden 06
That is kind of lame. Peyton should have had it hands down. How could the NFL TD record holder not be as popular as Mcnut? Every week was on how Manning was blowing up the record books. Only time I really remember the spotliht being on Mcnut was when A) T.HO. was following him around....and B) When T.HO. was following him around as a joke.
Manning should have been on it hands down. Fuck Mcnut!

Re: Culpepper: Madden 06
It has little to do with who had the best year for the cover. Its not like the MVP automatically gets the cover. I'm sure there are a bunch of other issues. Manning was on the cover of NFL Fever in 2002. Maybe because of that he isnt allowed to be on a different company's cover for a couple of years.

Re: Culpepper: Madden 06
Maybe Rush Limbaugh was on to something with his comments about the media hyping up a black quarterback. Manning was clearly the best QB last season. True, the Eagles made the SB, but I don't see the "team" on the cover.
I'm surprised that Moss isn't on the cover of Madden, seeing that he's now on his beloved Raiders.

Ok, let me rephrase. He did not have a catastophic injury or did his level of play diminish last year."ultravikingfan" wrote:

Like I said before its not that simple. Its a good possibility that EA went to Manning and he wasn't allowed to do the cover. The same goes for Moss, he appeared on a Sega football cover in 2002.Maybe Rush Limbaugh was on to something with his comments about the media hyping up a black quarterback. Manning was clearly the best QB last season. True, the Eagles made the SB, but I don't see the "team" on the cover.
