I think that Carter did make a crack like that during that same take.

I do not feel sorry for C-Pep, he is a man and he signed the contract in 2003! The Vikings did not have to redo part of the deal last year, but they did. And then C-pep played like crap for 7 games and gets hurt, I do not understand his thinking that a 6 million signing bonus and 2 million in salary is not enough for this year! He is coming off an injury that he may never be the same player, go out and prove that you are still a great player and you will get the money. For now, quit whining and get your butt back to Minny and meet your new coaches and be a leader, not a whiner!

Re: Culpepper going the solo route?

I am tired of people whining about Culpepper's whining . Anyway, this thread isn't about whether or not we think he deserves more money (there are already a couple hundred of them out there), it is about him deciding to go without an agent.

I personally think it is a bad idea. Granted Culpepper was burned by a crappy agent who got him to sign a horrible contract. But I think his working relationship with the team will sour if he tries to go into negotiations by himself. Cris said he was a sensetive perosn who took things to heart. Well, if he thinks a GM is going to hold back when pointing out his past mistakes, then he is nuts!

I like Pep, and I want to see him return. I woudn't be uspet to see him get a new contract, but I don't think he deserves one this year.

    DC + Childress

After meeting for some time with Vikings coach Brad Childress last week, Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper remarked to several people that Childress was a very smart football coach. Look for Culpepper to be making frequent trips here in the near future. ...

That tells me that Childess & DC have been talking & not "hiding" & being a recluse, like the media leads us to believe.

Childress said earlier in the year, he has been talking weekly with DC.

I'd love to be a little mouse in the corner so I knew what they were talking about.

As it stands, it sounds positive to me that DC will be back.
