Correction...Favre WAS the better QB! Things are changing. You have to be more than a pocket QB to make it big in todays NFL!

Wouldn't it be more gentlemanly to refer to TNT as "lass" instead of "lad"?

BTW, neither Pepper or Moss make it yet. Three more years of consistent play and they will be eventual HOF's, though not first-ballot. They'll need another five or so of consistent play for that.

Turning the corner, how about Terrell Davis? Does he make the HOF?

No, TD should not get in. He didn't play long enough although he did dominate the league for a 2 or 3 year span and was the main reason the Broncos won both Superbowls. Too bad for him it will be Elway who is remembered for both SB wins

Terrell Davis? YIKES! I still can get over that butt wooping he gave my boys in the the Packer/Bronco superbowl
I say, heck no (but, only b/c i'm still mad and jealous of his entire crew)to Davis making HOF. But, at the same time, he really was one of greatest RB's during his era, and one of the top of all time.

Daunte has had a good career, but he's missing two things: longevity and a super bowl ring. He's really only had two stellar seasons...but doing that over a long period of time is what gets you in the hall. Once he gets a ring, if he puts up good numbers for a while, not great, but good....he's in.

It takes a while to train a QB and I don't like the depth behind Daunte. We should draft his eventual replacement.

    Anahiem,
what's ya problem, kiddo? Pepper not hot enough for ya? An eventual replacement? Geez! I'm no Culpepper fan, however, I don't think it's time to start looking for his replacement. I understand he's no Brett Favre, but, geez louis, give him some time!

i have to agree with bono except for the favre remark. We have Brad Johnosn who just 3 years ago led tampa bay to a championship, i think thats a preety good backup if pep needs a spell.

The Bucs defense led them to a championship.

But, Brad was not too shabby.

Brad Johnson couldn't lead a horse to water. Much less make him drink.

Brad Johnson just happened to be the vanilla quarterback who hung onto the coattails of that defense. All he did wasn't make mistakes. I think the Bucs D had more touchdowns that year than Johnson did.
