    Culpepper...

As I sit at my desk at work, I ponder the question: if Culpepper were to call it quits right now, would he have a good chance of entering the Hall of Fame?
It's clear that my boy, Favre, is already in, even though he's got about 10 more years in those cheesy tights. I'm just not SURE if the Hall of Fame would -in this case- open its doors to white tights. :bootyshake:

No, he wouldn't get in right now. He needs a few more good years to even be considered. It's a good thing that he will play the Packers at least twice a year for the rest of his career. That should bolster the stats a little.

Agreed, he's had a good career so far, but if he was to pack in the ball right now... he would not be a HOF'er. You realize that your "boy" Brett has been in the league a lot longer then Daunte though! Was he at the same point in his career as Daunte, he would not be making it in either.

No, he needs more years and more of them like this year, or a Superbowl Ring.

    McNabb wouldn't make it either!

Manning wouldn't make it either, even with the TD record in one season.

Hate to say it but Brady, little Cindy Brady would make it, only because of the Rings.

I think Manning would. He's played long enough and has enough numbers to where the argument could be made for him

    Triedandtrue,
I more than greatly disagree with you on that one, lad. What year is Culpepper in right now? Seventh?
Yeah, Favre was already raising the bar by his seventh season. Favre could've retired the year BEFORE he and his cheesy pals returned Lombardi back to it's rightfully respectable place, and STILL melted right into the Hall of Fame doors!

I'm not so sure about Brady.(right now) They seem to put an emphasis on longivity

    Re: Culpepper...

Daunte has been in the league 6 years starting 5. He led his team to 39 victories and is 1-2 in the playoffs.

After Favre's sixth season he also started 5 years leading his team to 51 victories 4 strait playoff appearances going 7-3 in the playoffs. He also won a Superbowl. After his 6th year he won the second of his 3 consecutive league MVP awards. Now compare stats for same portion of career.

    Daunte 18598 yards passing 129 TD's 75 fumbles 74 INT
    Favre 22931 yards passing 163 TD's 44 fumbles 85 INT

Favre is a far better QB plus he never misses games!
