Hey .... this guy may be lame ... but this is kind of fun soooooo ...

    Divison BEARS 10-6, PACKERS 8-8, LIONS 8-8, VIKINGS 8-8

Peterson rushes for 1,079 Yards, T-Jack finishes with a passer rating of 78.9, Antione Winfield and Kevin Williams go to the Pro Bowl with Steve Hutchinson (McKinnie, Henderson and Fat Pat miss out) ... we pick No. 13 in the Draft. And the Colts win their second-straight Super Bowl over the New Orleans Saints.

I sure wouldn't bet my jewels on any Viking prediciton this year.
I think they are going to run hot, cold and mediocre and could end anywhere from 4-12 to 9-7....
I do think the defence is the key and they need to come out smoking every game and that's tough to do.

    ALL TOGETHER!

    I don`t practice Santeria
I ain`t got no crystal ball
Well If I owned the Vikings, I`d win it all!
If I could play that Moss, and that team that he`d found
Well I`d pop a cap in The Belichick and I`d slap Moss down

There are plenty of people on this site that have been a fan for at least that long.
All you have proven to me is that even a veteran fan can wear his emotions on his sleeve and think irrationally and make posts without backing up their thoughts.
Maybe the team will show up and not play well and maybe it will get it together.
It is game #2 in a long season.
You have seen plenty of seasons that tanked after an undefeated start and those teams were better?
    How?
They didn't reach the ultimate goal of winning the Big Dance.

    Hmmm.
How did Bud Grant do his first year as a Viking?
It appears that he did worse than Childress...posting a 3-8-3 record.
    Wait?
Childress did better his first year?
    How can that be?
Bud Grant's first bad year was justified because four of his losses were by six pts or less.
    Wait?
    What about Childress?
Last I checked six of his losses were by less than a score his first year.

Bud went on to do well his second year.
The jury is out on Childress, a dominating win against the Harrington-led Falcons followed by one of the ugliest games I have ever seen by both teams in a tough division battle that, I think, neither team should have won based on their play.

KC does not scare me like the Lions did but the Green Bay game is going to be tough. I am glad I will be in the dome to help create some false starts.

Here's what I see, No matter what team we are playing, We will go back to a power rushing game with CT, and AD. Limit the throws Tarvaris has to make, keep the turn-overs and mistakes down and win with defense. Big plays will come with patience... lets get back to what we do best. Run the ball.

Holcome will get more starts than Tavaris.

WIN 20 - 17 Because Denver will already be seeded and won't play their starters.

    Other:

Tavaris will win his starting job back only to lose it again.
Wade, Shancoe, Tavaris will all be busts...
We will be slightly pleasantly surprised with Williamson (only enough to keep him on the teamone more season) and happy with the development of Rice.
We will draft a QB with our first pick and a WR with our Second.
We will finally bring in a veteran proven (semi-proven) QB in the off season.
And we will be saying, "well, there is always next year..." by week 10 of the season.

Childress will only have one more year to prove himself after this crappy year, no more than that.
Our defense will be top three vs. the run and top 20 vs. the pass.
Our pass offense will be in the bottom three, while our run defense will be in the top 15.

    I love these.
my corrections are in the quote in bold.
