Not to get off topic and once again congrats to Cris Carter, but it seems as though there are two Cris Carter HOF topics that were recently created. Could we possibly merge?

Not only did he catch touchdowns, but he also caught a shit load of first downs.

On third down everyone knew who was getting the ball but nobody could stop him. Thank you for your service CC!

Note that they were both started at 6:06 PM, hence the "jinx" above, I think Culpepper beat me to it by a second or two though. But yes, they should be merged... so long as the title reads "elected" instead of "inducted," as Carter will not be inducted to the HoF until August.

Cris was an amazing player. Not so hot as an analyst, IMO, but that's not what he was selected for. The small bit of his speech, though, that I did get to see was intensely emotional, much moreso than I expected. It just reinforces my (and all of our) opinion that he should have been a first-ballot recipient.

Congrats, CC. Now you've finally been recognized as belonging in the most elite company of your peers.

Congrats to CC and something long long overdue. When you see some of the muppets that have been elected in then you know it is a popularity contest.
Still the important thing is that he is now in and I'm looking forward to see his presentation and induction speech.
