Thread: Cris Carter approves of Childress hiring

The Vikings have been noticeably absent from Super Bowl XL. New coach Brad Childress isn't expected to come, nor is old coach Mike Tice. Quarterback Daunte Culpepper, a usual fixture during Super Bowl week, also is not expected here.

The only possibilities: running back Michael Bennett and tight end Jermaine Wiggins. (My addition -- the rest scalped their tickets)

So far, the only member of the Vikings family I've run into for an extended period of time is former receiver Cris Carter, a.k.a. Cris Carter Inc. He's got multiple businesses going, including a his training facility in Boca Raton, as well as his analyst duties on HBO Sports' Inside the NFL.

FYI for Zygi Wilf: you can rest easy now. Carter approves of your decision to hire Brad Childress.

That should mean something to the Wilf's coming from a class act like Cris Carter. If I were the Wilf's, I would feel as though I made a great choice in hiring Brad Childress..

Well if Cris said it, it must be a good thing.
