Lions | Rogers Not a Lock Anymore? - posted at KFFL (
5:33 PT: Updating previous reports, reports the Detroit Lions are in negotiations with two teams about a trade for DT Shaun Rogers, including the New York Jets. The Lions would be looking for a first-round pick in a deal for Rogers, and if they do get one, they would not select Michigan State WR Charles Rogers with the No. 2 pick in the NFL Draft. Instead, they would turn to either Penn State DT Jimmy Kennedy or Kentucky DT Dewayne Robertson, most likely drafting a receiver in the second round.

Vikings | Defense Not a Lock - posted at KFFL (
5:29 PT: Updating previous reports, Bill Williamson for the Pioneer Press reports the Minnesota Vikings could abandon their theory of selecting defense with their first-round pick in the NFL Draft if Miami (Fla.) WR Andre Johnson somehow slips to their pick at No. 7.

Dude! If the Lions get Kennedy/Roertson neither of them will be there when we pick 7th! That would suck, especially because either Trufant or Newman is going to be taken by the Cowboys.

Johnson may be a very good receiver but we need Defense more then we need a WR. We have 2 good young talents plus Derrick Alexander and Chris Walsh. We can stand waiting until the third round for a WR. I'm hoping this is just a ploy by Tice to keep other teams guessing.
