Could Fassel be it?
I know we don't want to think about Jim Fassel right now as we are in the throws of just losing our head Coach, but why not? Look at what he did for the Ravens down the stretch with the hapless Boller at QB. Now he walks into a gorup consisting of Daunte Culpepper and Brad Johnson. When the Giants whooped us a few years ago to get to the SB, Fassel was the head man I believe. I still see where a fresh face might be in order, but look at the limited NFL business saavy that Wilf has. He knows all of one and a half teams in the NFL...the Giants and the Vikings. I'm giving him half knowledge of the Vikes as he just really got here and has not done much...yet. He knows the Giants from he and Fassell being buddies and I think he really believes in Fassel.
We could do much worse I think.

Yea, I know...but it looks like it had been moved to go with all the Tice stuff and thought it really needed to have it's own thoughts and not be tied with Tice.

Whats the link between Fassel and Jamal...I mean is he enamored with him or not there with things in Baltimore?

Re: Could Fassel be it?
Just figured that if Fassel got in he would bring some Ravens players, and Jamal is FA.. so easy pickup..

Re: Could Fassel be it?
I'm not so sure he will hire fassel...I think Tim Lewis the DEf. Cord. for the Giants has a better shot than Fassel. I remember Fassel leaving the Giants and saying some "Not so nice things" about New York. I still think that Wilf wants to run a good orginzation so I would hope he tries for one of the big dogs out there right now. Like Greg Wiliams or Brad Childress....I don't know though lets all cross our fingers!

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with Fassell. I wouldn't mind having Loney come back either though. How about Kirk Ferentz, that might be someone to look at.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I really doubt that Fossil is seriously being considered as the new HC. Sure, Zygi grew up as a Jints fan, but he wants the team to develop into a SB contender. Fossil is not the man for the job if you take out Zygi's personal attachment to the guy. I'm banking on Zygi being more professional and hiring the best available coach, regardless of the cost.

I wouldn't mind Rivera from da'Bears or Lewis. And I really wouldn't mind giving Ferentz a shot----but, I don't think he would take it.
I just hope it isn't Fassell, or however you spell his name.
