Re: Contract language an issue - Pat Williams contract to need to be reworked
Brzezinski would make an excellent attorney.

I bet there wasn't enough of a food allowance in the original contract.

Revisiting the Pat Williams contract: Union bothered with Williams' extension
I dont know if this has been posted. Sorry if it has.
Source; yahoo.comThe NFL Players Association is quite irritated with agent Angelo Wright for agreeing to an incentive in defensive tackle Pat Williams' contract that allows the Minnesota Vikings to use $13.2 million in salary cap space this season.
You gotta love Rob Brezinski.

Re: Contract language an issue - Pat Williams contract to need to be reworked
Yeah, they frowned on the Hutchinson deal too.
In the end, it was within the rules.
Just like this one.
If they care that much, they need to change the rules, not the contract.
I certainly like the move.
Great way to use our excess cap space this year to resign a very good player without mortaging our future.
In fact, I like it better than if we had spent that money on an overrated free agent or two during the offseason.
Keeping your good players is probably more important to building success than bringing in a lot of outsiders. When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]
