one of several articles i've read today saying similar things:
"Meanwhile, the Ravens maybe were panicking a little bit themselves. While they were working on signing tackle Orlando Brown, who has been out of the league for three years because of an eye injury that led to a lawsuit and settlement with the NFL, Baltimore head coach Brian Billick was on the phone to Minnesota. Billick was interested in trading a draft pick for Vikings backup Todd Bouman. Somehow that didn't happen. Then the Vikings turned around and traded Bouman to the New Orleans Saints, who wanted an experienced backup for Aaron Brooks, for a sixth-round draft pick."
i wonder if the vikes were trying to strongarm the ravens into passing on orlando brown and when they didn't, they slammed the door on the ravens and said hello big easy.... just a thought.... leads me to wonder if the ravens were offering more than 6th round too.... hmmm....
