Did you just become a colts fan? We played youyes i expect bob and AD to meet several times during the game but the thing is bob is looked at now as a threat and he does sit right behind freeney. and that isnt counting the LB core that is still the youngest in the league. to me if you are last in pass defense and going against manning? helloooo back the last time the colts met the vikings you guys still had moss, culpepper combo and could score against our non existant D that we had back then remember it was 04 when we last met and both teams have taken different paths since then. vikings have basically went into rebuild mode while the colts won the SB and is still considered one of the top teams to win another SB. ok i have a question about the pass D. with marvin harrison back healthy who is covering wayne, harrison, gonzalas and clark with the option to addai? that is yes 5 guys that can catch and gain tons of yards after the catch. and btw the colts are ranked #1 against the pass when healthy. just think though the colts get the bears the very first sunday night game of the season so you guys dont have to worry bout them already hehe.
in 2004 with these guys and or the guys they replaced. We played you with a yonger Harrison, Wayne. Instead of Addai you had Ejames in his prime. Manning had a 144+ QB rating but you wone by 3 points on a late min FG. So apperantly our terrible passing defense still had you guys on the ropes. Now your players are old and your defense is coming off an injury plagued season and Freeny hasn't done crap the past 2 years..... Hey whose playing DT for you brcause Simon and Mcfarland are gone right? GAMES ARE NOT PLAYED ON PAPER!!!!!
btw TJ doesnt have a guy like moss like culpepper did and that year culpepper played great before he got injured in 05.
to say i just became a colts fan is just ignorant been a fan since the move to indy. even got to shake the hand of a player.
so an average pass D kept the packers to what was it? 35 ponts. and that was against a recieving core that barely 2 years old. the colts recievers are that much better.
i say healthy cause last season by the pats at indy game we had wayne and morehead only by end of game. in the SD vs indy game (first game) no backups for the OLINE on top of thr two recievers, even addai wasnt 100%. then the P.O. game the colts all pro DE's were both injured so yeah health is the key.proud fan of the SB XLI champions.

Re: colts at vikings
I am definitely looking forward to this contest. These contests are the kind that always end up better than they look on paper. And we seem to always come to play when facing better opponents.

Yes our pass defense is very bad, did you see the way they played last week?? Oh thats right, its a new season. In 1 season a whole team can change. We didnt do much to improve it but we still have the draft, this is griffin 3rd year playing CB, lets see if he can step up."kevoncox" wrote:

BTW its not the pass defense thats bad its the pass rush, we have to blitz often and alot to get pressure because none of our DE can get to the QB, which allows teams to pass happy on the vikes. If our young guys can step up this year, dont be suprised if our pass defense isnt dead last and we pull an upset over the colts.

Adrian Peterson is as fast, if not faster than Bob Sanders, 4 inches taller, and 20 pounds heavier, if they "meet" one-on-one Peterson will be the victor.then none of you know bob sanders then. ya know the Defensive player of the year last year. the man that is a bullet. if you have ever seen what he does to RB's in full time speed its amazing. look at the SB run they had when sanders came back from having the worst Run defense in the league to having the best just cause of him. so if i were you guys id do some research before you make any allegations about bob not saying hi to AD which has a tendency to run upright and get hurt.
The only way Peterson will get lit up by someone is if he's blindsided, or left hanging out to dry with a lobbed ball.
And as far as Manning shredding our pass defense, I think you'll see a pretty significant change in our pass D next year, especially if we draft a DE. We can collapse the interior of any pocket, all we need is some pressure off the edge and we'll be in anyone's face.
Our running game will do enough to get the job done against your defense, it'll just be up to T-Jack to make the easy throws off of play-action, and the occasional deep ball to take some pressure off the line.
I think it's going to be a much better game than you make it out to be.

Re: colts at vikings
This is going to be an exciting home opener. Especially after the win in Lamblow! Most likely the toughest game all year.

haha loved the postActually, Bob and AD have already met.
Just finished looking at the highlights of the Pro Bowl and made note of how often Bob Sanders was either out of position or lying on the ground watching others tackle AD.
"I don't know why you say hello I say good-bye"
Good luck.
