    Coaching Breakdown?

I maybe should have put this in the "rants and raves" thread but I thought it may get more attention as a stand alone. If a mod wants to change it, feel free.

    Anyway...

I was look at another board and saw this post...
It was right after Troy dropped the ball and the offense came off the field the camera showed Richardson going at it with Chilly for a couple of seconds and then Beenemy (SP) stepped in and pushed Richardson away.
Richardson is an experienced and respected vet and to see that happening makes me wonder how long it will be before Chilly looses the team if we have the same kind of year we had last season.
If you have Tivo go back at look at it again.
Now I don't quite know what to make of this because no one has mentioned it on this board. It wasn't when Chilly was yelling at Shanks for being offside. But did anyone else notice this and if so what are your thoughts?

Childress certainly was agitated during the game with many of the things he saw and was being pretty vocal about it. I am not sure what to make of that altercation.

Do you think he is going to have his coordinator call the plays in the regular season?

    I definitely caught it.
Not quite sure what to make of it.
I also caught Richardson and Childress re-engaging near the end of the game...Richardson was laughing.
I'm pretty sure Childress was pissed off at Shiancoe because it looked like his penalty cost a potentially huge running play by AD.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

    yah i saw it.
didn't put much thought into it.
it was right after shank jumped so i thought he might have just been bitching to richardson.
it didn't seem like a big deal to me to start questioning whether he is going to lose the team.
we were sloppy last night but still held our own and made some nice plays.
we gotta clean some stuff up but i think everyone feels we're going in the right direction.

You ever watch the clips of coaches on the sidelines........
The Tuna comes to mind right away.

I wouldn't read anything into it as far as the idea of the Chiller loosing this team.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Nah, don't worry about it. Look at the Braves, they have Bobby Cox to deal with every day, and they're doing fine.

    Re: Coaching Breakdown?

I had to listen to part of the game on the radio and missed the rest.

    Sounded like we were sloppy.
    Some offsides, dropped passes.

What was up with the special teams?
    Are we really struggling there?
They did not say it on the radio, but listening sure made it seem like our special teams is special all right.

    Any thoughts on this?

Coaches get in to it with their players all the time, especially after one makes a mistake.
Football is a game of passion, and sometimes that passion gets heated up during the game.
    No worries.

I actually didn't see it because I was driving back to Fargo when the game was on and listening to it on the radio.
They talked about Childress chewing on Shank, but didn't say anything else.
I hahve it DVRed, and may have to take a look.

We sucked it up at first. Our struggles included a missed 37-yard kick, a 20 yard punt, and allowing Seattle to return a punt for 57 yards. But we had our good ST moments. Longwell hit a 47 and a 49 yarder, then Kluwe put the coffin cover on the 'Hawks, pinning them at the three-inch line on a 45 yard punt.
