Re: Classic Viking Videos from NFL.com
Thanks "Jostin00"!!!
I could watch Tarkenton just play around with the opposite defense all day long. He is without doubt my favorit QB ever. The way he ran away from the defensive line is just redicolus. Talking about EXTENDING THE PLAY lol

Thanks for the post, josdin00...Page will always be my favorite player. What a dominant player he was. Sad about that incident in Ohio, but as always he handled it with class.

Josdin, thank you...I never get tired of watching these clips.
Tarkenton - people forget just how unpopular his scrambling was...got him traded.
You gotta love Merlin Olson and Deacon Jones bitching about how much they hated chasing him...classic footage.
Tark was a master at pushing the envelope, taking advantage of the other team's weakness.
He will forever be remembered as a man who lost three Super Bowls by some...by those of us who remember going to the Met, freezing our asses off, we will remember the football player who perservered.
Krause - man, kid had hands.
Can't say I remember (although I'm sure he did) him dropping an interception.
He was crafty, smart, and he used those baseball skills to the maximum.
Very happy he finally got in.
His skill, coupled with the fact that he played behind three of the best D-Linemen of all time, made for a great combo.
Page - 1971 was one of the top 10 seasons ever by any pro football player.
He was one helluva player, one of the best ever, brains, heart, talent, leadership.
All that said, he is one of the most impressive human beings I've ever had the priveledge to meet, read about, study, watch.
You talk about a man and a leader...handled the Ohio incident, was inwardly motivated to be an All-American in college, a HOF NFL player, AND, AND, go through Law School while playing, eventually becomming a Minnesota Supreme Court judge.
Alan Page is one of the brightest stars in the HISTORY of the NFL in my opinion.
Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

As a matter of fact, I do know

Great videos, thanks for finding those. It's a real treat to see more than a 30 second clip of the older players - makes wish I'd seen it at the time
