This is a classic, funny NFLFans discussion
http://community.livejournal.com/nflfans/2673177.html
Not sure if/how you can read that link if you don't have a 'LiveJournal' account or are not apart of the 'NFLFans' community there.. But I think you can see the post. Read it and the comments. BTW, I'm 'tenolein'.
That 'discussion' I'm having with the 'phoenixothon' person (I think is a female) is what's really funny to me. No matter her comeback, I'm not going to stop. Because it's my right not to when my team has beaten her team not once, but TWICE, this season. Or, to at least get her to resort to the classic lame duck defense of Super Bowl trophies.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

LMFAO Is this guy for real?
Vikings is actually a improper grammar as Viking is a verb and referred to going "viking" , similar to a walklabout for the Aboriginal people of Australia . It later came to meant to go raiding, and took on a derogatory aspect and was by no means approved of by the Norse people in general.

Yes. She's for real. Funny how she rips on Vikings being an improper grammar term.. While throughout her entire post I needed a half tarded sheep to help decipher it.LMFAO Is this guy for real?

Once you start talking about the grammar of the team's name, you lose all credibility for past, present, and future sports conversations.

Yah, complete doucher. I got to the mini-history/PC lecture and thought: "Wow, I really want to slap this person in the face. Front, and then backhand." I would. I would slap this person. I was affronted. Kind of like Lawrence's feelings for someone who would say: "Looks like someone has a case of the Mondays." I do believe you'd get your a** kicked for sayin something like that....

Where I live I'm surrounded by Bears fans that can't stop bringing up 1985, C'mon 24yrs ago? Both the Bears, And Packers have been around since 1920-21, Thats 40 more years than us, You'd think those two would have way more playoff appearances than us, But they don't, Us 25, they're tied with 24,
As far as being a successful franchise I'll take making the playoffs 52% of the time, over 27% One day (Hopefully within the next 60 days) we'll get that SB out of the way
http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/Even if the Vikings lose, I can still find happiness in Bears, and Packer losses.

Well lets be fair. It is always better to compare the Super Bowl era.
Bears: 13 playoff appearances (30%)
Vikings: 25 playoff appearances (58%)
Packers: 15 playoff appearances (35%)
So, while both their percentages are a little higher in the Super Bowl era ... ours is too. I definitely like that on a regular basis we are in contention. It would be nice to get that trophy though.
