I think we never really gave Ciatrick a fair shot. He was a solid back. Good quickness and power...didn't have the speed but certianly could've been a very good 3rd down back.
Not with ya on that one.
    Fason was aweful.

I wanted him to run with the first unit offense for once. Just once. All we ever saw was him running with the 3rd unit offense in some crappy preseason game. And I mean 3rd runningback, not 3rd down back :P Fason couldn't catch worth a lick.
Because I'm a Vikings fan, they are that much sexier.

He simply was too slow to play at the NFL level. He also struggled to hit the holes effectively.
There was one game there where we had 3rd and 1 a couple of times and went with him and got stuffed and I think that was that ... he didn't see the field in the NFL again.
I would have to say that if he had anything worth looking at another team would have giving him a shot beyond a sign and cut (which Jacksonville did). He simply is not NFL material.

Much more eloquently stated than my post
    ;D, I'm sure he's a nice guy too

The issue with Fason is had difficulty finding the holes and didn't wait on his blockers.
AP can get away with that sometimes but Fason isn't an AP.

I think he will do well up here in Canada. I am excited to see him play for my home team
    We're bringing purple back.

He was drafted ahead of Marion Barber and Brandon Jacobs as well.... And we were looking for a goal-line back.
    :'(
We wouldn't even take the hometown product who proved he was a physical back that we were looking for.
I was a bit lost on that pick.
I was calling it the whole while that Barber was going to be a beast in the NFL.
I think Maroney could be a great back too but he went into that Patriot system and has built up a pretty big ego.
Barber is a blue collar back who is never going to back down from a challenge.
Imagine him paired up with AD

If we would have taken Barber though, we might not have ever drafted AD at the time and would've most likely taken Brady Quinn. Things could look a lot different on the vikes roster and not in a good way.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
