Anyone want to argue with me that the state of the NFL and thier QB's is pretty sick right now.

I find it very amusing that all the guys that were avail this year that everyone touted as being the next guy are sucking just as bad as what we have.
Funny thing is, those are the same guys that believe (wrongly of course) that the Chiller has hitched his wagon to TJ cause he is hard headed and egotistical.

Fact of the matter is, there just isn't anything out there that is better.

Know what, this crap, along with a few others will be what is avail for us to upgrade our biggest need last year.

I sure hope Spielmen and company can find D Anderson type of guy or at least pay the Browns what they want if he is avail.

Chilly will look at a proven loser like Weinke (1-17), but will publicly trash a winner like George.

I don't think George is a good choice, but don't diss the guy and then look at a chump like Weinke.

Chilly, you are just not ready to be a head coach.

Look, I don't want to sound a bit harsh, however,..........

What do you expect a HC do in a situation like that?
Let some old washed up never was talk crap out his WR's and QB's.

Comeon my friend, you know what he did was right.

    As for Jeff......

If he was such a great winner, why didn't he stick for a long term basis with any of these teams?
    Indianapolis Colts
    Atlanta Falcons
    Oakland Raiders
    Minnesota Vikings
    Washington Redskins
    Seattle Seahawks
    Chicago Bears
    Back with the Oakland Raiders

    Want a clue?

Probably for the same reason he isn't a QB for any of the teams desparate for a back up QB right now.

    Gimme a break.
    A winner.
    Jeeeezzzzzzz.

I wouldn't let him within 5 miles of my locker room.......Childress made the right call on that one....

Isn't Chris a Heisman trophy winner...didn't he play in Carolina as the starter before Ware made a come back?
    I can't remember!

I would bet that he is every bit as good as Bollinger. He won the fricken Heisman trophy. I say bring him in. I think if tjack is healthy he should be starting(all 3 vikings wins came when tjack started the game).

I knmow it sounds crazy but what is wrong with Aaron Brooks? He has constantly played for bad teams but has done decent doing so.

Re: Chris Weinke to work out for the Vikings Tuesday

Chris Weinke is a native of St Paul. He won the Heisman and a national championship in college with Florida State, where his jersey number is retired. He has been a
backup in the NFL as recently as last year.

This has been a year of many injuries to the quarterback position. Testaverde is already starting. If you had ANY shot of being an NFL quarterback over the last couple of years, you are probably just sitting there waiting for your phone to ring, if you aren't already playing.

We definitely need a fourth and probably a fifth QB. Holcomb sustained an awful neck injury (whiplash). That could last all year. Tarvaris was actually knocked out cold for a a couple of minutes. That is a big-time concussion. I seriously doubt he'll be playing much football for the Vikes for the rest of the year.

I would sign Weinke and another guy.

    Go Vikings!

Gino Torretta won the Heisman trophy also. Hw did he do for us? Just cause you win a Heisman doesnt mean anything.

Maybe we should start TJack and then take him out after the first play. That way he gets the start, we get the win.

    Thanks PPE for the Sig
