Chilly on Hot Seat?
This seems like a win/win situation.. Theres no way that Chilly goes if we turn it around and start doing good.. and if we dont, then theres a chance hes gone..

I definitely do not love Chilly, but wins are wins. If he starts winning ... he sticks around ... that simple.
If he does not win ... with a team this loaded ... I don't care what the schedule was ... bye bye ... time to move on.

good point.. with this amount of talent on the team ziggy has to realize that if chilly cant do it with these players, then what can he do or what else is it gonna be to bring a championship here? also i think i read we have the 2nd highest payroll in the NFL.Sajid28 wrote:

Meh ... because of the salary cap ... I could care less about payroll in the NFL. But ... we are actually third behind the Oakland Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys.midgensa wrote:

The payroll and salaries in the NFL are never really indicative of what is being paid anyways because of the weird way bonuses are done and the weird ways cap hits are done.
Still though ... we have talent, payroll or not ... and if Chilly cannot get this thing turned around ... he will be looking for another OC gig.

Re: Chilly on Hot Seat?
As much as I hate to say it, Chiller's job is safe.
Believe me, no one wants him fired more than me, but he won't be. Even if we tank out the rest of the season, he won't be fired.
Worst case, we tank - Bevell gets fired.
Other case - we win Division, or even make the play-offs, no one gets fired.
Wilf loves Chiller. Chiller sucks, but he won't be fired until we see a couple of back-to-back bad seasons. Last season bought Chiller 2 more years.

I agree with Caine, I don't think a bad season puts him in the hot seat. Would love to see him fired even with a good season, I just can't stand him.... But, sadly he's safe regardless.

Re: Chilly on Hot Seat?
Even if he's fired, who's going to come in here and lead this team for the last however many games. What our record will be, is still undetermined.
The fact there is a lockout looming next season doesn't help matters.
i wish they'd get rid of him, but as was mentioned, it seems the wilfs have a nan crush on the guy.The ribbon is the 'Gulf War Ribbon'.
