It counts our kickoff returns (which i believe we've had 5 or so 50+ yards), our interception returns (2? 50+ yards, idk), and then yea the rest are our passes & runs.

we've had like 2, maybe 3 60 passes to Rice, 1 to williamson, then the play by Fergy on Monday night.
The rest are taylor & peterson
On offense we have a long of 78 yds, 22 plays of plus 20 yds and
    8 plays over 40 yards.

The 8 at plus 40 ranks us number 7 with the Colts and Lions.
yup, i also believe we're ranked #1 or #2 in rushing plays of 10+ yards.

was just pointing out that the 19 plays of 50+ yards arn't all on offense. nevertheless, i was happy when i read it earlier today

Hey Vikes King go read the top of the page.
9 pass plays the rest were Taylor and
    Peterson.
I'm sorry, but I am going to trust

    Peterson is no. 1 for solos;

Another interesting stat; Longwell has outscored AD this year in points with 93 to 66.

    Re: Childress's KAO....Vindicated?

    Childress vindicated, possibly?
    More importantly, hell, I'm vindicated.
I have been saying for many months that this is a team that could go anywhere from 5-11 to 10-6...certainly not a bold prediction, however, the difference, has been, and is, a minimum of mediocre QB play.
With it, as I've said, the Vikes could go 7-9 to 10-6 depending on the D.
The D has played great, for the most part, and TJack has been improving.

We sometimes forget that this is a very talented team, hence 7 Pro-Bowlers.
This is the most obvious contributor to Childress' statement that (something like this), 'the Vikings Head Coaching job is the best job in the NFL.'
He inherited all Pro-Bowlers with the exception of AD.
That said, he has been a part of, arguably, two of our best drafts ever.
Time will tell, however, I am extremely impressed with our last two drafts.

Childress KAO has definitely shown signs of explosiveness.
The players, however, have got to execute.
Remember the Lions game early and the Chiefs game early, the QB's missed WIDE open receivers for would be touchdowns and wins.
As the season has gone on, Chiller has remained steady to the running game (kind of a no brainer with CT and AD), and the players, namely TJack, have executed better.
TJack didn't play well vs the Bears; he needs to play better if we are going to beat the Redskins.

That said, Childress has seemingly found a formula to win games...more encouragingly, several formulas.

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

    Very nice post my friend.
    Couple of comments though.

He didn't inherit all the Pro-bowlers.
Some were added by the current staff (not just the Chiller).
Additionally, the ones he did inherit could have been shitcanned along with the other trash if he (and his staff) didn't get them to buy into his system.

Better play can't only be attributed to the QB either.
I think our better play should be attributed to better play on both lines. When they do thier job all the playmakers make plays my friend.

    Again, nice post.

John Clayton brought up an interesting stat on Sportscenter...

The Vikings set a record this year for the most 50+ yard plays with 19. That includes 9 passes of 50 or more yards, which is three more than the 1998 team of Moss, Carter, etc.

Maybe it truly is the KAO.
I believe the 2007 Vikings have tied the 1998 Vikings for the number of 50+ yard plays.
Not all of those 19 plays, however, are from the KAO.
Also included are 6 defensive plays of 50+ yards - int & FR returns.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

It could have went both ways. If the 98 team had better field position because they had a decent defense, they would have had fewer opportunities to get the long scores. However, with the improved field position they would have racked up many more points and had a Lombardi trophy. But face it, Denny Green didn't give a shit about defense. After all, he inherited the best defense in the league and had it dismantled in 3 years.
