His stock will be determined by how he coaches the players that he has brought in. Last year he was out coached by every rookie coach he faced except Detroit's. If he gets his own guys and can turn it all around his stock will go up a great deal. If he gets his guys in place and still gets out coached, he will probably end up as a position coach somewhere in a few years.
I think Childress should be fine. He had a hell of a draft...but I think if he looses or doesnt improve he might be gone but you never know WIlf might stick to him

Funny u mention that. I dont think there's any proof and this isn't but what I found funny was watching NFL Total Access and they were asking Tomlin how he felt about the draft and he said "I felt pretty confident in our drafting and everyone in the [Steelers] organization had a valid input on who we drafted. It... It was a breathe of fresh air." What does that say about Childress? haha

Well his stock went up with me.
I like the way we drafted except for a couple of players I thought we should have taken with 6th and 7th picks.

yeah I think we should have taken ILB Brandon Siler #2 ILB project 2nd round and Ben Patrick instead of the QB and Chandler WR. But hey everything else was definately acceptional

yeah i agree, Rick Spielman brags about how he is a draft specialist, which i dont complain about, but i think Rick made a lot of the decisions in the Draft room.

I would certainly hope Spielman and Rob B consulted Childress.
Hes the one running the team on the functioning level and knows what will work best to build a strong, cohesive team.
Considering the type of person Chilly is and what he has on the line I assume he had a fair amount of influence. Sounds like a Scott Studwell ialso has a big influence.
They all need to come together though to make sure the best decisions are made for the team.

As for filling the power void in the so-called Triangle of Authority, Spielman said that was a term created by the media -- "of which I was part of, remember" -- and not one he believes is accurate in describing the Vikings' power structure.

If anything, Spielman expanded the triangle into a square to include Scott Studwell, the team's director of college scouting.

"Without getting into the front office standpoint as far as how everything is going to work, I will be running the personnel side, Coach will be running the coaches side, and Scott Studwell will be running the college draft," Spielman said. "And then we will work together to come up with the best decision for this organization."
    Square of authority.
