Thread: Childress must Go!!

Its not BJ.....its not TJ......this guy just is not head coach material.
I've seen enough......Childress just does not adapt to the game nor his players.
If Childress does not agree to hire an offensive coordinador to call play (and Bevell is a candidate), he must go.
The guy just will not throw the ball down the field.
He called this Packers game like BJ was the QB and did not capitalize on TJ's strengths - just proof he sucks.

Pretty accurate statement.

It's hard to write off a coach in one season ... but what arguement is in FAVOR of Childress?

Is "Faith" the only thing Viking faithfull have?

I am by no means defending Childress, but in all fairness when TJ had chances to tuck and run, he didn't do much with the opportunity.. He had a few deep passes that were catchable, but Williamson dropped them again..

Overall, it was a very sloppy game that neither team deserved to win.. It was evident that whatever team won this game and kept their wild card chances alive, was not going to do a dam thing with it anyways..

I wouldn't be mad if he got fired. Won't happen this year though.

I hope he gets fired tomorrow. Other than Shell, probably the worst pick. We're far worse off than when TICE was here.

i'm just sick of the 3rd down plays, offensivly and defencively.
i hate that we go for the short pass on 3rd down, they just don't get the 1st down it's terrible ! also defencivly i noticed that on 3rd down the pack got alot of 1st downs
also lots and lots of penalties, ther's got to be something that causes them....

I never thought I'd be saying this after only one season, but I definitely agree. There's much better options out there, but it's not going to happen yet.

It's not the losses that frustrate me.
It's the conserative play calling and whole offensive philosophy.
I understand trying not to make mistakes, but you play the game to win, and he doesn't seem to be trying to do that by throwing 4 yard outs on 3rd and 10.

i agree diehard, childress doesnt seem like hes got a competitive bone in his body,
he doesnt call the game to win. he just seems more content with keeping the score close and playing ultra consevative to prevent a mistake as opposed to taking a slight risk with the potential to score. Im not saying the run and shoot or anything but we need to open up the offensive playbook in order to get that 8th man out of the box and open up those inside routes that are crucial in the WCC. Who says we cant fire a guy after one year, we need a head coach with alittle charisma as childress is about as bland as toast.
