    I like Childress.
Although, I do hope he pulls a Parcels and shows up with a nice set of man teats this season.
    lol thats outta left field
Come on it's nice to have the occasional rack on the field, Parcels was twice as funny last season. HD-Rack is also a bonus.
I think Jerry Jones could have bought him a Bro

Re: Childress is more at ease as the boss

Is he using the Denny Green coaching book?
When Denny had his first press conference he put out the infamous "New sheriff in town" speech, then proceeded to try to instill discipline, build through the draft etc. One difference is that Denny liked to have
experienced veteran QB's to run his system while he developed his QBOTF (Torretta,Culpepper)

So if he is going on to chapter two, this year he will adopt the us against the world mentality and try to get the team behind him by playing to prove everybody else wrong.

Denny switched QBs all the time (listed QBs played in majority of games that season):

    1992: Gannon
    1993: McMahon
    1994: Moon
    1995: Moon
    1996: BJ
    1997: BJ
    1998: Cunningham
    1999: Culpepper
    2000: Culpepper
    2001: Culpepper

That's 10 yrs and six different starting QBs, not all vets.
Childress is in year two and has two different starting QBs.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Re: Childress is more at ease as the boss

Childress acknowledged for the first time that he intentionally took on a militaristic and detached persona last season -- an approach that turned off many players -- but said it was necessary to build a foundation for winning.
Sounds reminescent of Les Steckel to me.

I think he still could have laid down the law & still kept the lines of communications open better.

I think he realizes that now & is trying to rectify the situation.

This guy was way to militant. kinda like "I am a football coach you do as I say" I don't take crap I hand it out, I honetly think his way is gonna pay off.

The Chiller had alot off work to do. Yes he took a aggressive approach, but I think he's instilled his philosiphy and the foundation has been set. Whether you'll admit or not.... this team is improving. We will be much better than the experts predict. Brad is earning respect everyday.
