Childress is more at ease as the boss

    http://www.startribune.com/vikings/story/1327470.html
The Vikings coach felt he had to take a tough approach his first year. Now he's taking a step back.

I know i've said this over and over again, but WOW am I excited about this season.
I really think Childress did what he had to last season, to change the environment within the franchise which is what Wilf was gunning for.
Things take time and it sounds as if Childress is finally coming into his own and some of the key figures on the team our on his side.
Nothing makes me happier then hearing him and Phat Pat clowning around or Winfield stating "thats old news, I'm ready to get to work".
Big things are on the horizon my fellow Viking friends.

    I like it.
    It was an uplifting article.
One that makes me feel good about the Vikings.
(To the writer: job well done.)

We'll see if that translates into wins.

On a side note: Place the Lombardi trophy in Peterson's hands instead of his jersey.

Hopefully that translates into more wins for our team.. It is a long shot to think they will turn it over that much in one year when they lost a few veterans and replaced them with young, unproven, career backups, but I will pass judgment after a few games into the regular season.. Sounds better then it did this time last season though..

Re: Childress is more at ease as the boss

I am really happy to hear this side of Childress.
His tough guy, stick up his ass, no communication approach really bothered me last season.
I think he has what it takes to be a great head coach someday, but that crap just bothered me.
I hope he is willing to relinquish the play calling duty if it starts to fall apart like last season.

    I like Childress.
Although, I do hope he pulls a Parcels and shows up with a nice set of man teats this season.

I read an article the other day that said he came into camp sweating heavily after his run. Seems he's in pretty good shape. I doubt we'll see a "bro" on him! Maybe Shock and Singeer can run with him at camp.

    I don't buy it.
He's putting a spin on a bad situation.
Atleast he's man enough to realize it didn't work, and he needs to change in order for the team to respond.

Come on it's nice to have the occasional rack on the field, Parcels was twice as funny last season. HD-Rack is also a bonus.
