I bet you your years salary he won't.
Why don't we bet your years salary so I can get a six pack of Kokanee.
    Ha!.

I say it simply because players don't go to the hall as a member of a team, so there is no chance Randy will go as a Viking, or a Raider, or a Pat or Titan. He'll go as Randy Moss, a member of all 4 teams.

Juaquin Iglesias killed the chances of Moss returning to the Vikings & ended his career. He took #84.

Bill Belichick got rid of Randy Moss for a reason and so did Brad Childress. Then he goes to the Titans and doesn't try. If Moss had respectable offers on the table, he'd still be playing but he doesn't because he's been a pain in the ass eventually everywhere.

While I understand the reasons for Moss getting upset and side stepping his coach last year, I also think he handled the situation and himself very poorly.

Childress may have been the latest trigger, but it's absolutely nobody's fault but Randy's.

Jesus ... here we go again.

Randy Moss WILL NOT GO INTO THE HALL AS A VIKING ... or as a Patriot. He will go in the hall as RANDY MOSS. NFL players do not go in as a "player for a team" like in baseball. This has been pointed out ad nauseum around here.

His plaque will read like every other plaque with all of the teams he played for on it.

And his number ABSOLUTELY will be retired in Minnesota in time. But I would imagine it is at least 3 or 4 years down the road if not longer.

Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.

I believe that Brad Childress proved to be a complete idiot by the end of his reign in Minnesota, but he is not to blame AT ALL for the Randy Moss fiasco.

Randy Moss acted UNPROFESSIONALLY in his return to the Vikings. He didn't like the coach, , he missed the Patriots organization, and he did not like the food .

EVERYONE on that team and in the fanbase wanted his return to be great. Everyone wanted him to be a solid receiver, even if he couldn't be the Super Freak anymore. Everyone wanted to see him score more Vikings TDs and be a part of the team for 2010 and beyond ... and he shit on us all because he didn't like the coach.

He has noone to blame but himself for how all of this played out.

Not to mention how he gave up in Oakland. Such a waste of talent. He was definitely the best downfield receiver I've ever seen, when he wanted to play. And that is a horrible thing to say about any player...unfortunately it's true. I do think he gets into the HOF...maybe the 5 year wait helps him.

I agree with Childress being part of it (like the final nail in the coffin), but IMO, it was the sensationalistic Media's love-affair with Drama that ultimately killed his career. Yes, he did/said some ill-advised things, but nothing that should have put an early end to a HOF career. I firmly believe that his actions wouldn't have received the national attention they did if chuckleheads like the Joes (Buck and Theismann), among others, hadn't blown them out of proportion.

Drama always followed him about and that was the not so nice aspect of him. On the other hand you could also say that Randy finished off Childress's stint with the team. After he was waived Zygi saw the feelings from the fanbase and I think that helped start to make him realise what a liability Childress was.
As for the Joe Buck incident - I laughed myself silly about that, not only did he wind up the packer fans but had Buck in an absolutely hysterical state. If anything I think it made many realise what a complete whiney girl Buck is and I still get the giggles now when I think of it.

I think that was my favorite Randy Moss moment.

You're right they don't go into the Hall as a member of a team, but you see guys sign one day deals to "retire" as a member of a team. I believe this is what most people are saying.
