Childress has eyes on entire picture

Sid Hartman: Childress has eyes on entire picture

The Vikings coach, who has suggested he might not be the lone playcaller this year, said it's his duty to know everything going on during a game.

Great stuff Singer.

I like the progress James is having.
I think his ability to come back 100% is gonna be huge for our Pass Rush/Sack production related to the rotation on the DL.

I also like this........ ;D

I have been around more football coaches than any of the so-called media experts. I knew Childress before he got here and have gotten to know him better than anybody in the media since he became Vikings coach. I am convinced he is a winner, and the results will show this season when the Vikings compete with the best. There has been almost a 70 percent turnover in personnel since he got here. And all those changes will pay off.
Out with the old, in with the new.........
The future is now my friends.
;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

How profound, the HC is suppose to know what is going on with the entire team.
Who wuold have thought that?

Good stuff Singer, I really like the jib of coach Childress. He has assembled his team and will continue to grow as a HC.

Having Erasmus back healthy is really going to help our pass D. Dang Singer, you're up at the crack of dawn everyday rounding up the news, all one can say is thanks brother.

Re: Childress has eyes on entire picture

I believe Childress has a plan and a vision for the future.
My guess is he has something along the lines of a 3 -5 year plan, and Wilf is cool with that.

I hope for progress every year, and I like to see positive things in the off-season.
Those things will be a solid franchise, and that is what I want.

Tice may have done some things right, and he was possibly hampered by Red, but I just feel better.
Even losing last year, I just felt some things were good.
I would have liked to have seen us get better as the year went on (as far as wins), but Childress stuck to his game plans, and his guns.

Please bring on the season

It was a solid "get to know the coach" article.
It wasn't really anything new but it does it's job by making fans feel better about their head coach and easing the tensions of the critics.

Maybe Childress should just focus on the offense and get all the kinks out before he chooses to look at the entire picture...

or maybe looking at the entire picture will make Chilldress realize that he should focus more on the offense and get all the kinks out...

Re: Childress has eyes on entire picture

I think Childress worked with the talent he was given.
Run the ball, run the clock out, hope for some points, hope to wear down the D, hope our D can put up stops, and wait for the end of the game.

How was Childress suppose to open the game up more?
We will all agree that even in his younger days, Johnson had no arm.
No one will argue that our receivers were ever a threat to the defense.

What better strategy than to try and win a low scoring game with the talent we had last year.
