Minnesota Vikings head coach Brad Childress owns a degree from Eastern Illinois, but that's hardly newsworthy....

A military style Catholic school. Now that explains alot about the baggage he is carrying.

Re: Childress fondly remembers Marmion
The Chiller's football background is umimpressive.
That is putting it nicely.
If Andy Reid hadn't befriended him he would be coaching high school football somewhere.
Which is probably where he will end up.

They only had a Catholic elementary school in Hampton, Mn.
So all of their kids came to our school when they got into the 7th grade.
There was a small war every year for the first week of school.
The Protestants vs the Catholics.
After a week or two of getting to know each other we were all friends.
With all of those Hampton Hamster's (as we called them in 7th grade) coming in it increased our class size to an incredible 35 students.
I was happy that I was a Lutheran after hearing all of their stories about how bad the "Nuns" were.
I guess it could have been worse, at least they did not have Father Ben Dover.

Two punishments I grew up hating...
ONE: Ruler across the knuckles
TWO:
For chewing gum,
out comes the black pepper shacker, cover the gum you where caught chewing, re-insurt in mouth, close mouth with tape, sent to stand in corner of room like this, facing the class.....
