"He makes some throws where you say, that’s an unbelievable throw that he just stuck in there.”
    Did I miss those?

I still think it is the way to go. If you want TJack to step up, then you have to be willing to bench him. Otherwise what incentive does he have? If he knows the coach won't pull him, he'll just keep on pootling along as he has done for three years...

    I think it's a combination.

An example of Chilly/Bevell play calling.
    14 3rd downs.... 13 passes, 1 run with Taylor.

Problem with TJ: he only converted 2 of the 13 passes on 3rd down.

Gus has to do better at converting and Bevell/Chilly need to have faith in AD.

True... but even that's a positive. It'd finally expose the problem to the whole world (I think most non-Vikings fans assume the problem is simply the QB) and it would expose it early. Hopefully soon enough so that something could be done about it without wrecking the season.
even a change in leadership now will hurt the season. it is not like baseball, it is too hard to completely change the offensive philosophy with a new coach in mid stream. maybe it is possible, but i can not think of any previous attempt in the nfl that has been done successfully. about all we can hope for is that the talent level on this team can overcome the coaching shortcomings of our kao.
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Every time i try and listen or read something Childress say, im like, WTF did he say?? Why cant he speak like a normal person?

We have as good of shot with Gus as we do with TJ. I personally thing Childress is more of the problem. The play calls are built around TJ's innacuarcy and panic. Why would you start a guy and keep him on a leash?

To be fair I wasn't really thinking of a mid-season change of coach. Perhaps more along the lines Ziggy giving Childress the reality check he seems to need. A long, shouty reality check.

It wouldn't make much of a difference to him as a coach, but it might be enough to avert a season nosedive and make him want a reasonable win-loss ratio bad enough to play for it.

It was Brad to TJack..... now it could be TJack to Gus.
Then it could be Gus to TJack.
Then TJack to Booty (when the Vikes are 2 and 10).

If something isn't working very well you give it a little time then change it.
Give TJ a chance to sit, learn, calm down, and think.
If Gus struggles, then TJ can go back in as a saviour or he can go down in history as the guy who was replaced by the future HOF QB John David Booty .
