Childress discusses Jackson - Frerotte may start
http://blogs.startribune.com/vikingsblog/?p=1926
Gus Frerotte May Start Afterall...
I'm thinking Zygi may have gotten to Childress.Vikings coach Brad Childress faced a number of questions regarding the play of quarterback Tarvaris Jackson on Monday and his answers were surprising.
Childress said immediately after the game Sunday that Jackson will definitely start against Carolina this week but 24 hours later Childress left open the possibility that he would make a change at some point if he felt someone else gives the team a better chance to win.Kentucky Vikes Fan

could we sign brad johnson to start in place of bevell?
Why must you defend everything this FO does....to the point of making your self look like a yes man.

Interesting... can Gus make the plays and take the team places? Who knows. But if Chilly is now at least contemplating personnel adjustments, then it makes me feel a bit better about things...

He can start whoever he wants... it's only going to expose the fact that the problem is Childress.

i expect Jackson to start this game hands down, but if he losses another, Frerotte or another Vet QB (hopefully they don't bring someone in mid-season..) will take the reigns of the offense.
I think Childress knows if he doesn't make the playoffs this year he's out of Minnesota.
The Panthers are 2-0 and will be getting Steve Smith back this week, we'll need to put up some points to compete.
Daunte anyone?
(lol, had to)

True... but even that's a positive. It'd finally expose the problem to the whole world (I think most non-Vikings fans assume the problem is simply the QB) and it would expose it early. Hopefully soon enough so that something could be done about it without wrecking the season. He can start whoever he wants... it's only going to expose the fact that the problem is Childress.

WOW!
Chilly must have seen the Wizard and got a brain!
Now he just needs to use it.
Like Whisenhunt with the Cardinals (2-0) did by starting Warner over Leinhart.
Hey, if it works with Gus then you found an answer.
If not you can still go back to TJ.
If that still doesn't work, the Vikes are probably 0-6 by that time, so stick in Booty.
If anything so the crowd can chant Booty.... or even if they start Booooooing.
It could still sound like their cheering for Boooooooty.

I think maybe Wilf showed him what the door looks like that he will be walking out if he doesn't fix things quick.
