Well, I certainly hope we do.
Still, it's going to be very difficult.

His jiggly butt is on the line.
I think he's a bum who isn't cut out to be a head coach.
If this team - which is quite capable of being a contender, and don't let anyone convince you otherwise - misses the playoffs, then it is indisputable proof that Chiller is wasting the sheer talent present in this team.

No excuses - this is the team that he wanted.
If we fail, the buck stops in HIS office.
Still without the quarterback, that is. So almost the team he wants.
T-Jack WAS the quarterback he wanted.
So sorry, that argument doesn't fly.
BBQ, do you think TJ was our first choice at QB that year?
    Yes.
He most definitely was, by virtue of the fact that Childress SAID he was.
We didn't bother to pick up anyone better than Gus Ferotte, so this was clearly the case.
I don't see how you can argue otherwise.

If we REALLY wanted Favre, we would've gotten him, just like we did with Jared Allen.
We gave a pretty half-assed effort to try and get him, but I think it was clear from the get-go that TJ was Brad's guy.
Of course Childress said Jackson was his first choice. Childress is not the one who makes the final call on draft day, though. There is the group of three, one of whom is Childress, they the three of them bear responsibility for the draft, not just Childress.

The Packers had the rights to Favre. The Packers declined to waive Favre as Favre asked. Instead, they traded him to the Jets. The Vikings had no ability to "go get Favre" this year.

    Re: Childress days are numbered.

After whipping Jacksonville 30-12, Childress and the Vikings are now 6-5, and are still tied for first in the NFC North.

Meanwhile, our previous head coach, Mike Tice, now coaches Jacksonville's offensive line. They had about 6 holding penalties today. The Vikings had no holding penalties. The Vikings are headed up. The Jaguars are headed down.

    Any questions?

    We'll see.
We didn't exactly play world-class football today - we were just up against a struggling team.
If the Vikes are still playing in January, I'll concede your point.
If they're not, I say kick him out and never look back.

The playoffs are far from certain with this team.
Besides the Panthers, who have we beaten?
New Orleans, Detroit, Houston, Green Bay, and now the Jaguars.
None of those teams have a record above .500.

umm Mike Tice is tight end coach not oline just for clarification.

I cant beleive they left ferrotte in the game he was in so much pain it was visible... It would have made sense to take him out

Pretty sure he was also eying Cutler.... but nobody really knows.

Hell I thought Cutler would flop in the NFL and I ate some crow for that one.

I tend to agree with that with the exception of Culpepper, I think Culpepper was the guy Brad wanted to go with when he signed to be with the Vikings.
But since Jackson was brought in there hasn't been another QB brought in to challenge him, McMahon, Bollinger, Holcomb and even Gus are backups or clipboard holders and weren't suppose to be starters.
I'm not even sure Booty will be able to make a push to be a starter in 3 years.

With the twin-tards, Childress and Bevell coaching him?
    Not a chance.
