What!? Asking your QB about what plays he likes to run? Brilliant

why not? I mean in no way am i comparing maddening to real life but do you call plays that u dont like? I know alot of plays that I hate and if the coach call it you have to run it unlike madden. Unless of course he audible but I think this is good for the team

Coaches with any brains will design a scheme that fits his teams players and what they do best. It's good to see that Childress isn't so stuborn that he can work with his QB so they can call plays that Gus believes in.

I read that Childress and Bevell will allow input from him. I didn't see anywhere that they would actually do what he suggests or allow him to do what he wanted.

I simply mean that a coach will develope a scheme that plays to his players strengths. If a player is better at something they will find ways to do that something. If Frerotte has trouble with a certain set or play, why would they contiue to call it? You have to find what your guys do best, and taylor your playcalling to bring out the strength of your guys. That is why communication is important with your players concerning what they feel works best for them, and gives the best chance for success.

He's improving, even though, he had some shaky throws this week.

Finally Childress might actually start realize that GOOD coaches customize their systems to emphasis the players strengths and down play the weaknesses.

But obviously Chilly can't figure out their strengths and weaknesses, so it takes the players to tell him.

With his job on the line, Chilly is now getting off his high horse and listen.

Let's just hope it's not too late.
