Re: Childress calls team meeting after fight between James & Taylor

What a one-two punch. Maybe just maybe will lead the league in rushing, like we have in the past.

CHICAGO - Rookie Adrian Peterson may have been the Vikings' star, but veteran Chester Taylor also shined Sunday against the Chicago Bears.......

Of course what is lost in the hooplala over AD was the fact that the staff had a good balance of CT and AD.
83 yards for CT was awesome.

"Chester is a great back, also," Peterson said. "That keeps us fresh. After you break a 30-yard, 40-yard run, you need a guy to come in and give a couple of plays off."
Someone smart said it a couple of times yesterday.......

Tired legs don't break out for long runs for TD's, fesh legs do.

    ;D

Were are all the haters today?
I read something interesting earlier on this thread about CT being a bit of a locker room problem.

24 carries for 83 yards isn't impressive to me.

    Why isn't MOORE being used . . . well ... . MORE.
Is CT that much better than MOORE?
I know we are shopping MOORE, but if CT is a potential problem in the locker room . . . why aren't we keeping MOORE and shopping CT??

He had pretty good runs (nothing like AD) for key yards when we needed them.

As far as Memo goes, I did a bit of research and put several articles on here awhile back that listed several comments by Tice of why Memo was in the doghouse with him and they all centered around his pass blocking abilities.

Its the only thing I can figure out why he (Memo) isn't used more.
Not sure how accurate that is.

Re: Childress calls team meeting after fight between James & Taylor

I like Moore because he brings a lot to the table.
He's like Kevin Faulk of the Patriots to me, a little scrappy back who is pretty special with draws, screens and playing on special teams.
However, I would much rather have Chester Taylor on the roster if it came down to a choice between the two.

He's a more durable back who has proven that he has what it takes to be a quality starting running back.

People here seem to really have forgotten everything he did for the team last year.
Without his solid play, we'd have been...well...imagine us without a rushing attack last year.
    That's how we'd have been.

I don't know how much of a problem that is for him now. His size might have more to do with it than his blocking ability.

Don't you remember him laying the wood to Urlacher a few years back?

I remember Moe Williams laying the wood to Urlacher, but not Moore.

You could be right, but I recall them commenting on how small he was after he took out Urlacher. Could have sworn it was Memo.
