    same here.
that one long catch where there was noone within 20 yds of him could have been the winner.
I've always sorta sat on the fence on the whole Twill debate, but that video made me fall to the cut him side.
if he ever has significant playing time in a game again, i will have lost all faith in childress.
How he manages to stay on the team is beyond me.
its not like he's even one of Chilly's guys, he was drafted by Tice.
how many of those guys are left?
all i can think of is kleinsasser mckinney, birk, sharper, marcus johnson, ej henderson, kevin williams, pat williams, kenechi udeze, erasmus james, and dontarrious thomas.
almost all of those players are capable of playing well when healthy (with the exception of marcus johnson), Williamson can not.

I am going out on a limb here.

TWill will be given every chance to make the roster again this year.
If we were to trade him, what could we possibly get in return?
A running back who fumbles all the time?
Maybe a QB that throws nothing but picks?

They will work him again this summer, and he will be given an opportunity to make the team.

    Good call....on both of them.....

2 players I thought we should have kept around

Even if Marcus was not in the long term plans....he was just let go in a bad fashion

A year from now we'll all remember how silly we were to want to get rid of him after 12 TD passes caught and over 1000 yards receiving.

    LOL

Its really not that far of a stretch. If he catches those two at Denver, his numbers look pretty good. I don't recall any of are other receivers getting behind the defense like that. If he stays on the team I can see over 900 yards and 9 TDs.

P.S. Troy only played in 11 games and had 4 drops and 2 of them were the god awful ones at Denver.

At his current rate of production he will arrive at 9 TD's in six more seasons.

In the last 3 yrs B-Wade has played 5 more games had 18 more receptions, 41 more yrds and and 9 more first downs. Should we cut him as well? Keep in mind B-Wade has played 2 more years than T-Will and still doesn't put up better numbers. Perhaps T-Will should get some more time to get it together.
I'm not looking for him to be a number 1 guy, actually I feel he is better suited as a number 2. He is not much of a leader and needs someone to follow. I think Rice is that guy.

He does get open, if he ever starts hanging on, he would be valuable.
But why, even on the roster leading to TC he's taking up the place of even an undrafted rookie that could contribute more than he will ever manage. I've been willing to give him time and even see how the Nike assistance would help. However the fact is that my 86 year old mum could catch the ball better than him - even with her glasses off.

The only way he will hang on anywhere will be if he turns into a bat and lives in a church roof
    ;D
I don't think there is any limit to roster spots until the first cuts in Pre-season.

I'm not going to do it again, but there is a wealth of info I have posted on this page that kindof debunks the whole "#1", "#2", "#3" thought process when dealing with the WCO.

Additionally, to compare a slot reciever with a outside reciever is silly.

Truth be told, both recievers stats are skewed by alot of things that limit thier production, but mostly if you look at who was throwing them the ball over thier careers you willl see that both haven't really been at the heart of what we call a "Pass Happy" juggernaughts of an offense.

B-wade is a damn good slot who's numbers will increase next year because he is a sound reciever, runs precise routes and hangs onto the ball.

T-will on the other hand has shown poor pass catching techniques which has resulted in poor consistency.

If they can't trade him (someone always thinks they can fix another teams problems) then let him try to make the team.
Problem is, I think March is the deadline when roster bonus are due or something like that.
Once you meet that window and pay the guy, you'd better have a good one waiting in the wings to justify the cost.

    Quite the predicament.

As with Erasmus, we just might have to suffer one more year of poor drafting until we see the current staff right the wrongs of the last staffs goofs.

Q: I'm sure you've evaluated quarterback Tarvaris Jackson. How did he do in his first season as a starter?

A: Obviously, you'd like to have seen him for the four games he missed. But I thought he made incremental progress, and that's the nature of where that position goes. That's what Bill Parcells told me. 'Hey, it's tough to develop a young quarterback. There's nothing comfortable about it.' "

Q: So are you comfortable with him as your starter heading into 2008?

A: Yeah. I just don't see a myriad of other options. And that's not to denigrate anything he's done. We drafted him, and we're satisfied where he is heading. But you'd like to believe that the guy you saw in the last five minutes there (in the season finale against Denver). ...
